How to create bootable media in Acronis True Image Server for Linux

Introduction

You can run Acronis True Image Echo Server for Linux on bare-metal or on a crashed machine that cannot boot. You can also back up disks on a non-Linux machine by taking a sector-by-sector (raw) image of the hard disk drive. To do this you need to create bootable media for Acronis True Image Echo Server for Linux.

Solution

You can create bootable media using the Rescue Media Builder. For this, you will need a blank CD-R/RW or several formatted diskettes (the wizard will tell you the exact number), or any other media your server can boot from, such as a Zip drive. Acronis True Image Echo Server for Linux also provides the ability to create an ISO image of a bootable disk on the hard disk.

You may run Rescue Media Builder by entering a command mediabuilder.
