1548: Mounting an Image Archive Created from Individual Files or Folders Fails

A backup archive that contains no partition, but only has files and folders, cannot be mounted

Symptoms

When running the Mount Image wizard Acronis True Image gives an error message stating the specified archive cannot be mounted since it contains no partitions.

Cause

If a backup archive is created from individual files or folders, then Acronis True Image cannot mount it.

Solution

If some data from such an archive must be restored, use the Recovery wizard to restore the needed files or folders. You will be able to see the contents of this archive and choose files or folders you want to restore.

Acronis True Image can only mount image archives that have partitions.
