You can convert FAT16 <-> FAT32 and ext2 <-> ext3

This article applies to:

• Acronis Disk Director 11 Home
• Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced

Introduction

The following conversion operations are supported:

• FAT16 to FAT32 and back
• ext2 to ext3 and back

Solution

1. Start Acronis Disk Director 11 and select the partition, the file system of which you would like to convert:

   

2. Click Convert:

   

3. Select the file system to which you would like to convert and click OK:

   

4. Commit the conversion:

(!) The maximum partition size supported by FAT16 is 4 GB.
