Check for updates and run the installation file

(!) To update Acronis True Image Home 2011 while preserving all previous settings, tasks, and policies, it is recommended to install the update build without uninstalling the previous build.

Solution

1. Run the installation package and click Install Acronis True Image Home:

   

2. Then click Proceed to start the update:

   

   

   Since you are installing an update over a previous build of the product, you will not be asked to enter the serial number. The serial number is already registered in the system.

3. The update will then finish the installation:

   

4. You will be asked to reboot the machine to complete the installation:

   

More information

Once the installation of the update is finished, recreate the Acronis Bootable Media to have an updated version of it.

To make sure you have the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2011, which is Build 6868, you can check the build number in the product. See Viewing Build Number in Acronis True Image Home.
