Restoring from the online storage. Large Scale Recovery (LSR) or directly over the internet

Introduction

The two available recovery options are:

Large Scale Recovery. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 10: Large Scale Recovery;
Direct restore over the Internet from the online storage.

If you are not sure what method to choose, you can check the approximate data transfer table:

Internet connection speed	100 MB	1 GB	10 GB

If you are not sure about your Internet connection speed, you can check it with speedtest.net.

Solution

(!) If you are restoring a disk or system partition to dissimilar hardware from the online storage, you have the Acronis Universal Restore option available by default.

Restoring from Windows or Linux:

Start the product and click Recover;
Under What to recover click Change next to Archive:
Select Online backup storage and click Log in...
Type in your credentials:

The credentials here are the same as the ones you use to log into your account at the Acronis website.
Select what to recover and click OK;
Click Change next to Content to select what incremental or full backup to recover:
Select where and when to recover and click OK to start.
(!) If you are restoring a system disk or partition onto itself from Windows, the machine will reboot into Acrons Linux environment and automatically complete the recovery.

Restoring from Acronis Bootable Media:

Boot the machine from Acronis Bootable Media and select Run management console:
Click Recover:
Click Change next to Archive:
Select Online backup storage and click Log in...
Type in your credentials;
The credentials here are the same as the ones you use to log into your account at the Acronis website.
Select what to recover and click OK:
Select where to restore;
If you are restoring a system disk or system partition backup to dissimilar hardware, you can use Acronis Universal Restore:
Click OK to start the restore.
