
Acronis products allow you to create Linux-based bootable rescue media as well as Windows-based bootable rescue media

Linux-based media supports most hardware configurations available. If particular hardware is not supported, there are two possible causes for it:
- necessary drivers have not been added to bootable media yet;
- hardware vendor does not provide open-source drivers. In this case it is recommended to use Windows-based bootable media.
Acronis products allow you to create two types of Windows-based bootable media - BartPE and Windows PE:

Can be used with all Acronis products with no additional fee:
- BartPE plugin for Home products can be downloaded from web site
- BartPE plugin for Corporate products in included in program installation file

- Acronis True Image Home 2010/2011/2012: WinPE builder is available in Acronis True Image Plus Pack

| Adding storage drivers |
Storage drivers can be added during bootable media creation.
Option: storage drivers can be added during the bootup process (you need to press F6 and point to a floppy disk with the drivers)
