Symptoms

You are trying to perform any operation with Acronis Nonstop Backup:
For example
You are trying to recover data from the Acronis Nonstop Backup:

Or you are trying to clean up the Acronis Nonstop Backup storage:
The attempt fails with the following error message:
Archive is not found.
Event code: 0x00D60027+0x00040011+0x0000FFF0

Cause

The product cannot access the cdp.metadata file.

The cdp.metadata is a file that keeps information about the Acronis Nonstop Backup:

Without this file, the Acronis Nonstop Backup cannot function.

Solution

The cdp.metadata file is stored in the Acronis Nonstop Backup storage.

What is Acronis Nonstop Backup storage and how to locate it?

The Acronis Nonstop Backup storage is in a special hidden folder called Time Explorer Storage. All Acronis Nonstop Backup data is stored in the Time Explorer Storage folder.

The Time Explorer Storage folder is automatically created in the root of the partition that you select as the place for the Acronis Nonstop Backup storage.

For example

You select the C: partition for the Acronis Nonstop Backup storage and click Create Storage and Make Active:

The hidden Time Explorer Storage folder is created in the root of the C: partition:

To view the hidden folder you need first to enable this option in your system:

Open the partition where you chose to keep the Acronis Nonstop Backup storage;
Select Tools -> Folder options:
(!) In Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will need to hit the Alt button on your keyboard to see the toolbar with Tools:
On the Folder Options window, select View:
Select Show hidden files, folder, and drives and click OK:
You will then see the Time Explorer Storage folder:

If you have moved the cdp.metadata file to some other location, then please copy it back to the Time Explorer Storage folder;
If the cdp.metadata file has been accidentally deleted, or has become inaccessible for an unknown reason, it cannot be recovered. The Nonstop backups cannot be recovered either.
In this case, there are two options to get rid of the error message
If you are willing to keep using the Acronis Nonstop Backup, the do the following:
1. Close Acronis True Image Home 2010;
2. Restart the machine;
3. Delete the existing Time Explorer Storage:
4. Then start Acronis True Image Home 2010 and turn on the Acronis Nonstop Backup on (if it shows as turned on, turn it off, and then turn it on):
  
  This will recreate a clean new storage with the cdp.metadata file
If you do not want to start the Acronis Nonstop Backup right now or do not have the resources to do it, then do the following:
1. Close Acronis True Image Home 2010;
2. Restart the machine;
3. Delete the existing Time Explorer Storage:
4. Hit Start-Run and type in services.msc
5. On the Services window, right-click on the Acronis Nonstop Backup service and click Stop:
6. Once you have stopped the service, close the Services window;
7. Hit Start-Run and type in regedit
8. On the Registry Editor window, browse to the following subkey:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\File CDP Service\Settings\Sessions
9. Right-click on Sessions and select Delete:
10. Once the Sessions subkey is deleted, close the Registry Editor;
11. Now, start again the Services window, right-click on the Acronis Nonstop Backup service and click Start (if it has not started automatically):
The error message should now disappear.
